ABOUT

Our story

Our story is rooted in the retail industry. With her years as a buyer for large companies, Marie-Katherine has seen the major challenges that retailers face on a daily basis: the lack of effective tools for purchasing planning and inventory management.

Purchasing mistakes are commonplace, leading to disastrous consequences:

Missed Opportunities

Inventory surpluses

Stock shortages

Poor price management

This is where it started. Our platform transforms how retailers tackle these challenges, replacing uncertainty with clarity. With our tools, retailers make informed decisions and maximize their profits.

Marie-Katherine Jobin

CEO, Founder and Purchasing Expert

"It all started with Excel files. In the middle of a pandemic, I found myself alone in a purchasing department that had to be made up of at least 4 buyers. To get there, I followed Excel training to develop reports that would automate my analyses, my sales forecasts and budgeting. In a few months I had managed to set up a dynamic Open to Buy, product analyses and purchasing reports by size.
I quickly realized that other retailers were experiencing the same challenges as me. That's how Lila was born!"

I was a buyer for 6 years before launching my own business!

I believe in a quantitative approach based on real facts. For me, planning is essential for effective management. I have worked in companies that were growing rapidly and I realized that at a certain point, it became too risky to make decisions based on feeling. The impact of a mistake became too great.

Working with our tools is a security for an entrepreneur. I want our clients to take calculated risks. It is also important that my tools are as easy to understand as they are to use.
